Chive & Goat Cheese Spread

This got rave reviews at a recent barbecue. I of course can't take the credit, though. I got this recipe from 20 Something Cupcakes. My Quirky/less sophisticated spin is how I presented it. I LOVE those Kings Hawaiian bread loaves - you know, the kind that you make a whole in the middle for the dip - so I served the dip inside of one of the loaves. It worked out really well.

Ingredients
8 ounces soft goat cheese, room temperature
4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
Handful fresh chives
1 garlic clove, minced (I learned how to mince garlic with this recipe! And then I remembered that we had a garlic press......and a jar of minced garlic in the refrigerator.)
1 Kings Hawaiian round bread loaf

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl until well blended. Simple! Except if you're like me and don't think to make the cheeses room temperature before you start to make the dip, it's a little more difficult. But I was able to blend everything okay, and then I blended it a little more after it had warmed up.
